On the 1st of December 2017, the Amended Construction Sector Code was published in the Government Gazette. This Sector Code made provision for increased targets under the Ownership Element as well as the Skills Development Element. As of the 1st of December 2020, the new Skills Development Requirements, as well as the new Supplier Development Champion Requirements, will come into effect. The new ownership targets will be effective from the 1st of December 2021.
