Dear SEESA client,
COVID-19
It has always been at the core of SEESA’s values to look after the interests of the employers of South Africa. The ongoing global spread of the Coronavirus will have an impact on each and every business in South Africa.
In a statement on 15 March 2020, President Cyril Ramaphosa, clearly stated the severity of the threat the Coronavirus poses to our country, as well as the role business need to play in protecting our employees, our clients and our communities. SEESA recognises this responsibility and will do everything possible to align its operations accordingly.
Due to the very nature of the onsite services we render, our Legal Advisors are potentially at risk of contracting and spreading the coronavirus. At SEESA our focus is therefore to find a balance between continuing to render services and supporting our clients during this difficult time while doing everything possible to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees and those of our clients.
SEESA has therefore implemented the following measures:
- All our employees who are able to work from their homes will do so;
- Wherever possible we will minimize and avoid all travel related activities;
- All clients with existing, scheduled appointments will be contacted telephonically and appointments that can, will be postponed;
- Existing appointments that absolutely cannot be postponed will continue on the basis that both SEESA and the client will take all necessary steps to ensure that the appointment is conducted in a safe way;
These include:
- Ensuring that the number of participants are kept to an absolute minimum;
- Ensuring that all participants are 100% symptom free;
- Ensuring that appointments are held in well ventilated venues that are large enough to ensure safe working distances between participants;
- Interpretation services will be completely suspended until further notice;
- No new appointments will be scheduled unless they are absolutely necessary;
- All telephonic, online and video conferencing services will continue uninterrupted;
- SEESA has always been committed to providing safe and hygienic training venues to all our learners. Given the current challenges, even with the most rigorous hygiene practices in place, the risk of classroom attendance is deemed to be too high. Therefore, all training at SEESA training venues have been postponed until further notice;
- As part of our endeavour to service excellence, selected courses will soon be made available as webinars.
We will continue to monitor the situation and modify our response as needed. We will keep you up to date on a regular basis.
This is a critical time for our country and the only way that we can minimise the damage to our economy is by working together and doing our part.
We encourage our clients to keep abreast of developments on the Government’s WhatsApp group by adding the number 060 012 3456 to your contacts and sending, ‘Hi’. This will have an automated response with options. You can also follow these social media pages:
