In this webinar, we consider Disciplinary Hearings in detail. We discuss the formal requirements are and when an employer can proceed to a Hearing. It is critical that employers understand the Code of Good Practise and how to identify and formulate specific charges. The step by step procedure is explained in terms of how to discuss a matter, how to present said matter before a Chairperson, how to question witnesses, cross examine as well as present opening and closing statements. All of these are further clarified using examples. We also discuss what constitutes aggravating and Mitigating factors, and how they guide the sanction given.
