The Consumer Protection Act is changing the way we conduct business in South Africa. The Consumer Protection Act came into effect in 2011 and influences the way in which companies are allowed to do business with consumers. Since everyone can, and will, at some point be a consumer, anyone who is interested in understanding South African consumer protection and how the law facilitates this protection could find this course insightful.
In terms of the Act, consumers have certain rights and may enforce these rights. This has implications in terms of marketing, legal, sales and other activities. In order for your company to be able to adhere to the obligations imposed on it, you will need to understand the rights and the complaints procedures in terms of the Act.
This course will serve as an introduction to the Consumer Protection Act and offers the learner a broad understanding of the protection of consumers in South Africa.
We are excited to have you join us on this journey toward compliance and look forward to seeing you in the course!
